After a warm welcome, we received a small newspaper (with some info about the festival, about the sponsors etc.) and a glass of the “homebrew” BAB 401.
But there was no time to lose, as there where already a large group of people waiting to enter the beautiful Belfort for an afternoon of great beers.
We decided to start with some lambics and geuzes!
Horizontal Lambic Tasting
Red clear
Very fruity, sirop, cherrynose
Not that sour, rather refreshing and sweet
Well balanced
Girardin - Lambic (3 years old) - MIDDLE
Darker then the De Oude Cam Lambic
Very special nose. Wood, peaches, old smell
Very sour and wood-taste
Dry aftertaste
De Oude Cam - Lambic - RIGHT
Lighter then the Girardin Lambic
Very fresh, wooden, sour-nose
More moderate flavour then the Girardin
Dry aftertaste
